READ MOREWe believe thriving communities are built on connection, one event, one act of service at a time. This past quarter, we’ve been out in force, supporting local programs, celebrating milestones, and partnering with incredible organizations that make a difference.
We kicked things off with the Kite Flight for Reading and Sight, where hundreds of brightly colored kites filled the sky in support of literacy and vision programs for children. Seeing families come together for a cause that helps kids see and imagine their future more clearly was inspiring.
From there, our team traveled to Salinas, California, where we rolled up our sleeves at a local food bank near one of our job sites, Project Goat, packing, sorting, and helping ensure families had access to essential food and supplies. It was a powerful reminder that real impact often starts behind the scenes with people willing to give their time and energy for others.
Back in Utah, we celebrated the opening of the Canyon Park All Abilities Splash Park, contributing one of the park’s features to help bring this inclusive space to life. Watching children of all abilities enjoy the water and the joy it brought their families drove home the importance of public spaces in uniting communities.
We also strengthened relationships with local leaders through events like the Rural Utah Chamber of Commerce gathering and the Utah Food Bank’s Drive Out Hunger Golf Tournament. These moments connect us with the people we serve and help us better understand how to meet community needs.
This quarter also brought high-energy action with the Belgian Waffle Ride, a premier cycling event drawing athletes nationally and around the world. As a proud local sponsor, we cheered riders on, celebrated our own Nate Douglas’s impressive race, and showcased the beauty and hospitality of Iron County.
One of our most heartfelt experiences came with the Utah Special Olympics Shakespeare Festival, an unforgettable celebration of creativity, talent, and inclusion. From the stage performances to the post-show dance, the energy in the room was inspiring.
We closed out the quarter at the Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremony, honoring athletes from all over the state, and followed up with another visit to California for a Rotary meeting and job fair near another jobsite, Project Caliente, which fostered new partnerships and opportunities for collaboration.
Every one of these moments, big and small, adds to the community we’re working to strengthen. As BZI moves into the next quarter, we’re carrying forward the same commitment that drives everything we do: creating high-value opportunities and building thriving communities through teamwork, innovation, and action.”
