BZI® Presents Positive Impact and Response of Affiliate BZI Innovation Park as CMO, Spencer Douglas, Receives Transformational Leader Award at One Utah Summit
BZI® took center stage at the One Utah Summit this week in Cedar City to highlight the positive impact and strong customer response to affiliate BZI Innovation Park, LLC, and its brand new Nautilus 1 building, which held its grand opening event last week. The company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Spencer Douglas, was also honored at the conference with the Transformational Leader Award.
Drake Howell, Project Executive for BZI’s affiliate BZI Innovation Park, shared with One Utah Summit attendees how the industrial and transportation hub is creating high-value opportunities and building thriving communities through unique integrated construction solutions and transload services. Howell’s talk came days after the park’s first building, Nautilus 1, announced its grand opening and first permanent customer, Iron Depot™, to a large crowd of customers, partners and community leaders impressed by the 68,000 square foot building and park’s innovative industrial and transportation hub offerings.
“We are building a state-of-the-art inland port in Southern Utah, designed to drive innovation, economic opportunity and community growth,” said Howell. “Our recent grand opening event for our first building, ready for occupancy, illustrated the broad interest by customers, partners and community leaders in the value the BZI Innovation Park is bringing to our region and to global companies who will be eventual customers.”
The company also stated that the Innovation Park is expected to bring more than $120 million in tax revenue and around 1,000 quality jobs to the Southern Utah region.
Iron Depot’s general manager, Dallas Roberts, underscored the value the innovation park brings to customers and why the company chose Nautilus 1 for the permanent location of its welding supply retail space. “From cutting-edge rail services to transformative construction and technology, the BZI Innovation Park brings innovative services and products that are tailored to our company’s needs,” said Roberts. “The Park and Nautilus 1 are central to many large population cities that will improve our availability to reach more customers and accelerate our growth. The transportation services will also allow timely delivery and shipments of products. Having all our needs met in one place makes our operations more efficient and conveniently executed.”
On the third and final day of the summit, BZI’s Spencer Douglas received the Transformational Leader Award for his inspiring, bold growth through his leadership with the Iron Leaders Academy. According to the One Utah Summit, the award recognizes remarkable individuals who are lifting communities, inspiring growth and shaping a stronger Utah.
“Spencer has been a driving force behind shaping and establishing BZI’s positive brand and culture. He is illustrative of the kind of leader who defines our mission and values,” said James Barlow, CEO of BZI. “We are thrilled to see Spencer receive such well-deserved accolades from such a prestigious organization.”
