BZI recently completed Project Sunshine, a ground-up, 222,000-square-foot build in Albuquerque, New Mexico, delivering a large-scale steel structure for a state-of-the-art solar technology facility. The project was a major success, showcasing BZI’s hallmark strengths: safety, precision, and collaboration.

Complex Scope, Seamless Execution

The project required the erection of columns, beams, joists, and girders, along with the installation of several large canopy structures designed to support future solar equipment. With no mezzanine level and significant structural demands, the layout required tight sequencing with other trades and meticulous coordination to ensure every piece of steel fit into place on schedule.

Despite these challenges, the team’s expertise stood out. From complex column placements to demanding welding positions, including extensive overhead welds, the crew delivered clean, high-quality results that reflected both skill and discipline.
